On June 7th and 8th, the basketball world converged in Louisiana for an unforgettable event Hoopfest 2023. This two-day extravaganza blessed the state, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. If you weren't fortunate enough to be there, don't worry. I'll do my best to capture the essence of this remarkable gathering and convey the incredible opportunities it brought to our beloved state.
A Gathering of Coaching Titans:
Hoopfest 2023 provided a unique platform for coaches from all over the United States to come together, share knowledge, and form invaluable connections. The event showcased a star-studded lineup of esteemed coaches, each bringing their own expertise and insights to the table.
The first day kicked off with an inspiring session by Coach Brandon Chappell from Texas, setting the tone for what was to come. As the event unfolded, we had the privilege of hearing from renowned coaches such as Chris Mudge from Sam Houston State, Quanis White from Houston, Ron Hunter from Tulane, Austin Claunch from Alabama, Terrance Johnson from Texas State, Jay Ladner from Southern Mississippi, and Chris Jans from Mississippi State.
Building, Learning, and Networking:Day 2 of Hoopfest 2023 brought forth a new set of coaching legends, each sharing their knowledge and experiences with an eager audience. Attendees were treated to a captivating session by Jerome Tang of Kansas State, whose expertise and passion set the stage for an enlightening day ahead.The momentum continued as Donald Reyes of Loyola University took the stage, followed by Robert Jones of Norfolk State, Danton Jackson of Talledega College, Jay Smith of New Orleans, Will Wade of McNeese State, Telvin Hester of LA Tech, and Matt McMahon of LSU. These coaches brought their unique perspectives and coaching philosophies to the forefront, enriching the event with their wisdom.
